Belle Meade family home

Nashville, TN

Designed for real family life and the joyful chaos that comes with it, this Nashville home blends traditional style with bold artistic expression. We used ultra-durable materials to withstand fort-building, spills, big dogs, little kids, and the occasional airborne toy, while layering in unexpected moments of color, art, and meaning.

The design showcases the family’s deep creative streak: kids’ artwork and pieces made by the mother hang alongside striking murals and paintings by their favorite artist, Myles Maille. We also wove in heirlooms from multiple generations, including a framed collection of lapel pins from a beloved grandparent, displayed throughout the home.

The family’s love of Mardi Gras and annual travels to New Orleans inspired much of the energy and tone: antique treasures meet wild, expressive murals in a space that’s rich with personality and story.
