Environmental activists' family home

This home was previously a bland, builder home that lacked personality and was missing a lot of the needed functionality for this young family with kids ages 3 and 5.  The family are devoted climate-change activists, so it was important to them that we reuse existing pieces where it made sense, buy secondhand as much as reasonably possible, and not create needless waste.  We sourced the Sabai sectional for them specifically because of that brand’s environmentally friendly practices, for example.  We also deeply personalized their spaces to authentically reflect each family member; the 2 watercolor prints hanging side-by-side in the entry, for example, are paintings made by the children which we had blown up by a fine-art printer.
